Great place for breakfast if you really want to chow down and not spend a fortune. The staff is welcoming and friendly too. I went back for lunch yesterday and had a great chicken salad sandwich. Good homemade simple food at a fair price.

Was nice layout and atmosphere. However very pricy especially for just getting something simple. Wow I order 2 eggs and 2 sausage and was almost 8 dollars. Understand overhead however not to this degree .

Basic breakfast food, friendly fast service, in desperate need of update/ remodel. Nothing fancy.

We had a Birthday breakfast celebration and the Food was delicious, fast and friendly. Our waitress Venicia was awesome! Make sure you sit in her section. I love good food but without good service, its bland.

This place is decent. They have counter seating. I ordered french toast and tho it was good it seemed like it was made with regular loaf bread. I'll have to go back and try something else. The staff was super friendly

The mashed potatoes were ok, not sure they were from scratch. The coleslaw was pretty good.The cornbread was really good, homemade. The wait staff are friendly.

Now our family's favorite diner! Truly Southern Hospitality from the minute you walk in. Even when every seat is filled you have at least 2 people checking on you. Food is great and you must have their sausage... crisp outside juicy inside.

The coffee was delicious 😋! The staff was awesome..very friendly. The western omelets are also delicious. Had to add a little salt to my grits.

Southern Kitchen serves up one of the best (and heartiest) breakfasts in West Palm Beach. The winding counter is great for solo diners, and they also have tables and booths for groups. Homemade cakes and biscuits. All the breakfast standards plus specials. Lunch served from 11am. Pictured here is the Southern Benny — a take on an eggs benedict with sausage and southern-style gravy. Grits also are popular here.

I had the special. Fried chicken w/gravey mash potatoes, peas and corn bread. Chicken was very salty. Everything else tasted bland. The waitress was very nice and gave good service. When I paid at the counter (with cash) they took the money and said you're done. No receipt, no thank you, come again.... Looks like a place locals go to and that's the kind of places I look for. When I visit the area again I'll keep looking for a good local place to eat.

They serve great seafood for breakfast, grouper as well as shrimp and grits. An excellent choice to begin your weekend with.

A definite must try !!! You cant go wrong with this place. Everything is great from the breakfast 🥞 to lunch 🥙‼️ They also have really good customer service. The employees always go out of there way and are super friendly. They go above and beyond ‼️You don’t wait long at all for your food 🥘. On top of all that , they have delicious homemade cakes 🍰 to choose from. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast and lunch‼️‼️‼️

The food was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles. It was tasty but considering the size of the chicken tenders that was given. They should have added more. There chicken tenders were small. But the service and atmosphere was good.

Very Busy friendly place with daily specials; good food. Closes mid afternoon (3pm?). Opens early (6am?). Usually there is a seat at the counter.

Truly an old style diner experience with fast service and tasty fare. Always busy which tells you how good it is. If you go for lunch then be sure to have a slice of one of their homemade cakes by Pat, simply the best!

Where do I start!? We were not planing to eat here, we drove by and decided to try it out, and boy am I glad I did! Wonderfull service, and delicious food. Our waitress was nice and genuine. I will be definitely be making sure i stop back and dine again!

Not much to look at inside (or out) but what a surprise. Outstanding food and portions including a bottomless mug of coffee and super friendly, fast service. Reasonable prices too. What more could you ask for?

I went to southern kitchen with my wife and mother-in-law today. The staff was super nice, they all were wearing mask. Our waitress was GREAT! The food was also amazing I ordered 1 biscuit with gravy and it was huge very delicious food! Hands down it was one of the best place to eat at!!! Give it a try and I know you will not be disappointed!!

The food was good & our server Sherry was great! You can tell this is a popular place amongst the locals and the restaurant has a family kitchen feel. The bathroom smelled like fresh bleach! A good sign that their kitchen was also clean. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars...Fox news on all their TV's. They should play something neutral like HGTV, National Geographic or something like that.

Lordy... everything was TASTY. Huge portions fast friendly service, and lots of home made choices on the menu. Was asked how I wanted my burger cooked!!!!! And it came out perfectly. Didn't take pix of my food...which I will do when next we visit. For now take my word for it that The Southern Kitchen has good eats.

Definitely a country atmosphere and food was great. Location was so/so however good Toto visit if your visiting the Toyota dealership and need a spot while you get your oil changed.

Lake Park is my hometown. This is an iconic diner in here for many years and is an institution. You can get just about anything you would expect from a diner in a friendly atmosphere. Food is great and the facility is clean. I have never had a bad experience in decades of going there. It can get busy at peak times and parking can be a problem, but I highly recommend Southern Kitchen.

I ate here years ago for breakfast, which was always good. I ate lunch there today it was still good. Most of it is basic home cooking. The liver and onions were made correctly and good. The mashed potatoes were ok, not sure they were from scratch. The coleslaw was pretty good.The cornbread was really good, homemade. The wait staff are friendly. She got the orders quickly and correct. It was busy.

Wonderful space with high ceilings and views of the open concert kitchen. Seasonal menu with delicious offerings.

Can't believe we just found this place last weekend, after living right down the street for years now.. Great atmosphere, excellent menu and pricing. The biscuits are huge, bigger than the coffee mugs....and delicious. This will be our new weekend breakfast spot for sure.

I love this place when in the area always stop in. Great food large portions fresh cakes for desert. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that not to long ago they switched from name brand soft drinks to a no frills brand machine . I guess to save a little but it's not the best tasting. Does not take away from great service and great food.

A diner done right is a wonderful thing. Simple & southern breakfast options, fast service in a comfortable environment make this an easy choice. I recommend the Southern Benny.

Great food, excellent service. We had the pot roast & the stroganoff (a special of the day). Both delicious.

As far as diners go, this is one of the best I've ever been to. There's a reason they've been in business for 40+ years. Huge portions, good prices.

Fast pickup service. Always love their breakfasts ...especially blueberry pancakes.

Oh me, oh my, as the expression, sometimes, "Less Is More!" Southern Kitchen may not be a high fancy restaurant, but I'm giving it 5 Stars! It's a simple "Diner" but maaaaan, their menu is great and food delicious! Servers to me were 10Stars! Happy to have stopped there to eat! 😋
